The bullfight of Antonio Bañuelo´s ranch turned out to be rather disappointing and regrettable

Friday, 13 July 2007
It was an afternoon not to remember dominated by bad luck. The farmer from Burgos was looked by a one-eyed in Pamplona. The breeder from Burgos brought eight bulls to the capital city of Pamplona on the occasion of his debut.
They fought in the farmyards of the Gas, one of them died and the other one broke a horn. There were only six left and the group leaded a fight that was fair and quick.

The first bull that jumped into the bullring lacked strenght. El Juli profited the nobility of Escondido in order to fight it easily in a work that didn´t go beyond the importance of the bull
If it was stronger it could have proved its quality.

The second one jumped into the ring named Fresador and began to hobble on its left leg so it went back to the farmyard and was replaced by a sobrero that came from Peralta that didn´t humillate very much. El Cid fought him on both sides and killed him really badly. The public broke the silence and began to get angry.

The third bull named Normando jumped into the ring of Pamplona and moved in an unequal way. Maybe its marrow was broken before going out. In fact the three other bulls jumped into the ring without a brand. But this was only a hypothesis. The thing is that Normando had to leave the ring and went back to the farmyard.

Another bull of Peralta was fought as a second sobrero and third bis and made real disagreeable things but in the end turned out to be easy to led . Castella fought him in a natural way trying to excell himself. The french bullfighter also killed really badly.

The fourth bull coming from Bañuelos´s ranch was Joyoso, another bull that assaulted on its left horn side sine it didn´t manage to arouse the public el Juli tried to win the solanera over but he did not succeed because the bull chickened out he did not use the sword with grace.

The fifth bull named Cosido showed more power and energy but it turned out to be more complicated. El Cid was not very convinced even from the beginning of the work. The bull defended itself on the left side consequently it came up with a somersault that fortunately it was slight. Manuel Jesus killed him becoming relieved and was taken to nursery.

The afternoon seemed to pass normaly but it didn´t. It  was the turn of the sixth bull of Bañuelo´s ranch Castella was willing to make a work of his own. He called the black bull from the centre and  rode with the horse speed and let a one bull be executed from behind.

And it happened something unexpected Bretón injured his hand. It seemed incredible but it was true. Castella went in for a dreadful hit. The row was huge. It is better not to think in black hands.
