This Christmas, Viana will put the finishing touches to a year’s worth of activities commemorating the 5th centenary of the death of Cesare Borgia.
In order to review all the events that have taken place throughout the year, the town’s culture centre will host a photographic and documentary exhibition on the subject, which you can visit from Saturday 22 December until Wednesday 2 January 2008.
Furthermore, on Sunday 23 December, the church of Santa María will be the venue for a free recital. The powerful voices of the Orfeón Pamplonés will be heard in harmony to provide a musical welcome for the Advent.
For the younger citizens, this panegyric will arrive two days earlier (on Friday 21) with a double event. In the morning they can enjoy the Christmas carol festival and in the afternoon the Olentzero will be visiting; he will parade through the streets of Viana, and then go to the culture centre to give out presents.
