Sánchez Vara received an eight centimeters gore when fighting against the second bull of the journey. It was a non-easy day for the toreros – Urdiales and Sánchez Vara debuted in Pamplona – and they had to face a difficult livestock.
Urdiales did a profesional job at his first show in Pamplona. He showed his best toreo with the first animal, but after the second one, the public only gave him their silence.

The next one, Medina Sidonia, a beautiful beast, ignored the cape and impacted Vara on the chin.Despite the goring, Sánchez Vara, remained ensconced in the ring until he finished off his two bulls, and he was treated immediately after exiting the ring. Later he was taken to the Clínica Virgen del Camino for more extensive care.
Bolívar, despite his willingness to please, received only a spattering of applause from the crowd, and complete silence for his second bull, who failed to deliver a good showing and was the final bull of the day. The bulls of Cebada Gago are known for fierceness and tough personality, and that is what they showed to those present.
