11/07 Fast and clear fifth Encierro with the athletic Jandilla bulls.

Friday, 11 July 2008

There were no goring’s today with the Jandilla bulls. Five black animals and a brown one, loyal to their fame of fast, ended up in the bull ring in only two minutes and thirty six seconds.

The athletic bulls from Extremadura kept together during the first trame, passing through Plaza Consistorial and Mercaderes leaving a clear street behind, although one of the inexpert runners went unconsciously into the run.

Bulls have passed the curve of Mercaderes without slipping but one of them did it once in Estafeta. Here there has been the first situation of danger when the bull has approached a group of people who were in a portal. Thanks to the nobility of the bull, it has only been a scare and everything has turned out well.
With the flock already separate, bulls have come to Estafeta. Although there have been a great deal of runners, some of them have had interesting races at Estafeta.

Near the entrance to the Monumental, at the curve of Telefonica, one of the bulls of the third group in which was divided the flock of the Jandillas, has been stopped opposite a group of runners supported at the fences.  Fortunately, at the end, the noble Jandilla, has continued its path toward the alley as the rest of his brothers.

As an anecdote of this fifth encierro, we  must point out the recklessness of one of the runners in the Cuesta de Santo Domingo, who, with his camera in hand, despite the ban municipal carrying objects in the race, has made other runners fall over.

Only one runner has been moved to Virgen del Camino Hospital with diverse contusions and a trauma in the abdomen. As in the previous ten years, the Jandilla have demonstrated their good form and its nobility although we can´t forget the eight runners that were gored by the Jandillas in 2004.
