The seventh Encierro during sanfermin 2008 was exuberant. There were interesting runs and lots of people fell because of the humidity left by the rain. Nevertheless, nobody was gored along 2 minutes and 52 seconds at this fast and elegant run.
Right after the rocket was launched, the Miura bulls overtook the leading oxen in Cuesta de Santo Domingo. In this area, a bull ran over a man, who crashed against the paving stone.
A lot of runners waited for the Miura bulls in front of the Town Hall and Mercaderes, but the bulls kept their fast rhythm in a group. Once arrived in Estafeta, the noble animals forgave imprudence’s and piles and left behind a few runners with no injuries, who could have been an easy victim of their horns.
The floor was slippery this morning, probably because of the rain. This caused the Miura bulls and the runners fell a few occasions. The red bull slipped in the centre of Estafeta street and made falling another one. In spite of this, they quickly got up and well behaved for the rest of the run. At the end of the street we could see very interesting runs, since apparently there was room enough to let the runners move in much better conditions than previous days.
At the Telefonica stretch, one of the bulls trip over a pile of runners in the right side. Finally the animal ignored the helpless men on the floor and the whole livestock entered the bullring avoiding the people around.
As usually, every time this livestock runs, the bulls ran around the ring for a while before entering their corrals.
