On occasion of the celebration of the 35th Medieval Studies Week, which this year focuses on the theme of Medieval History today: academic perception and social perception, Estella travels back in time to the Middle Ages for a few days.
Jot down the dates in your appointment book because a multitude of activities related in one way or another to this period in history will transform townspeople and visitors alike.
The week begins with five intense days (Monday to Friday) of talks and workshops given by experts from various universities in Spain. Also, this weekend the streets of Estella will shed centuries of history to return to the time of street shows and street music, minstrels, and jugglers.
The markets of yesteryear to be set up on Saturday and Sunday in the Plaza de los Fueros and the streets of Ruiz de Alda, Zapatería, La Rúa and Plaza San Martín will provide the finishing touch for this medieval week. Visit the town on the banks of the Ega and go back in time
