The markets of yesteryear will turn Lekunberri into a medieval town

Monday, 04 August 2008

The times of jongleurs, wizard and knights will return on Sunday 10 August to Lekunberri where another year its medieval day is to be held with the markets of yesteryear.

The colours, scents and flavours of the stalls selling ironwork, wood carvings, leather goods, jam, cheese and honey will mingle to take visitors back in time to the Middle Ages. A theatrical performance on the streets of the town will demonstrate various aspects of medieval life.

You will also be able to watch birds of prey in flight at a falconry, exhibition, and attend ceramics and pottery workshops, or let a witch foretell your future or rid you of an evil spell.

Watch out for the monks roaming the streets in search of sinners upon whom they can practice their rites of exorcism. Come this Sunday to Lekunberri and enter a time tunnel.
