Valle-Inclán heads a luxury programme with his work “Bohemian Lights”

Friday, 17 October 2008
Sit back in you seat and get ready to enjoy one of the greatest works of Spanish theatre of the 20th century.
Bohemian Lights, written by Valle-Inclán in 1921 will fill the Gayarre Theatre to discover for the audience the Theatre of the Grotesque, a new way of understanding theatre.

The work attempts to reflect literary life in the Spanish society of the time. Everything begins when Max Estrella leaves the house with Don Latino to ask for more money for his novel. Not only does he not achieve his purpose but he actually ends up in gaol.
