It was in the 3rd century when San Saturnino baptised the first Christians in Pamplona —San Fermín among them. On 29 November, Pamplona pays homage to its patron saint in a day full of institutional and festive activities.
These include the procession with the image of the saint at 10.30 am along San Saturnino, Mayor, San Francisco and Calle Nueva, and a mass at the Saint’s eponymous church that will be attended by the Town Council.
A parade of giants and bigheads provide the note of colour and fun. Also expected are txistularis, dantzaris and the town band, “La Pamplonesa”, which will be heard throughout the town to give the day its festive touch.
