The Osbornes were fast and clean in their return back to Pamplona

The Chronicle of the Encierro. 11/07/2006.

The fifth running of the bulls of this festivals have been very fast and clean, with six animals from Rosario Osborne's ranch, that reappeared in Pamplona after eleven years. Three of them with white hair, very similar to the oxen, made confusion between the runners, but the herd finished the course in 2 minutes and 16 seconds time without gored.

From the beginning at Santo Domingo Street, two off white bulls were leading the rest in a hurry, till the Mercaderes curve where they didn't fell down but put at risk the runners ahead. In the middle of Estafeta Street, the herd reunited owing to the fell of the first bull and all of them reached the arena with no goring.

Only one runner was injured because of a dislocation in his right shoulder owing to a fell down.

BEHAVIOUR IN THE ENCIERRO

This is the third time in Pamplona for this ranch, belongings to Lozano Brothers, famous in the bullfighting- businessmen world. The bulls distinguish themselves by their nobility and their alarming lack of strength.

Its seems to be highly probable that the animals fall down and cause the herd break up, so the bulls run separately from each other.

Last participation: The Encierro was a fast and a clear one, with only three runners taken out to hospitals due to different traumatisms and contusions, but no goring. The herd broke up at Mercaderes curve and a couple of bulls left behind the rest of the group. This fact and the high speed of the run made spectacular moments and pictures.

Duration: 2 minutes and 45 seconds Average speed: 18 km/h.
