The mayoress of Pamplona , Yolanda Barcina, welcomed today several representatives of the Casa de Misericordia for his III Centenary. With a short speed the mayoress thanked the work of the institution emphasized his “founder spirit”. Also she recognised the merit of organized each year the Bull Fair, so important in our fiesta. And she remembered that, all of the benefits are reverted in the charity worth.
Follow, Yolanda Barcina gave Luis Arraiza, vice-president of the Casa de Misericordia, a gift representing the façade of the Town Hall. He spoke about the history of the institution that was founded on April the 9th 1706 , and nowadays attends 550 old people.
Finally, one of the noons who work in the residence gave the mayoress a small gift made by the oldest: two dolls handmade by the residents of the Casa de Misericordia.
